Born
into a military family at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky Sue Gartland spent
most of her childhood years moving from place to place until her
family finally settled in Pittsburgh, PA in 1967. Sue now lives with
her husband in Plum Borough where they raised their four children.
Once her children were grown Sue was able to put more time and effort
into songwriting, performing and recording her music. Her early
musical influences include the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Melanie and
Carol King.
Sue Gartland takes us on a journey through time and introduces us to
unforgettable people and places. Her lyrics and melodies are drawn
from life’s experience and delivered in a style that’s all her own
with a gentle and soothing voice.
Her most recent CD is “Christmas with Sue Gartland.”
Earlier projects include a CD called “Ford Fairlane”,
an EP recorded in 2000, and songs on compilation albums released by
the Pittsburgh Songwriters’ Circle in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
